ROASTED Black Peppered PARMESAN BROCCOLI – Very Healthy!
Table of Contents: VEGETABLES
This recipe is a “suit yourself” recipe.
You can make one head of broccoli or more.
You choose the amount of garlic salt, pepper, and Parmesan cheese desired.
1 or more large heads of fresh broccoli, washed and drained
Extra virgin olive oil
Garlic Salt
Freshly ground black pepper
Few drops of lemon juice (optional)
Freshly grated Parmesan cheese
Place an oven rack on the top shelf under the broiler; then preheat the oven to the “Broil” setting.
Cut the stem from the broccoli head and discard. Break off the broccoli florets into bite-sized pieces, and cut any large florets.
Pour enough olive oil into a large baking pan to coat the florets; then vigorously toss and stir to coat. Garlic salt and pepper the florets, as desired; then toss and stir again.
When the broiler has reached temperature, place the baking pan into the oven on the top rack. Broil for about 5 minutes; then rotate the pan and continue broiling for another 3 to 4 minutes.
Remove the broccoli from the oven, sprinkle a few drops of lemon juice, if desired; and then sprinkle with the grated Parmesan cheese. Stir and toss; serve hot.
