Toasted ALMOND OREO COOKIES

Recipe submitted by:

1 Package Oreo cookies (three rows of cookies)

8 oz. cream cheese, softened & cut into 4 pieces

1 Package Bakers white chocolate squares

Toasted almond slivers

Slowly feed all of the Oreo cookies into a food processor through the feeding chute and  process the Oreos into fine crumbs.  Add the softened cream pieces to the cookie crumbs in the food processor & blend.  Make small balls, 1 ½ to 2 inch, from the cream cheese and Oreo mixture and place on a baking pan.  Melt individual squares of the white chocolate as directed on the package, and immediately drop a small amount on top of each cookie, allowing chocolate to drip down the sides.  Push 2 toasted almond slivers into the top of each cookie.  Place the baking pan in the refrigerator to allow cookies to get firm.  When cookies are firm, move cookie to a container with a top that seals.  Store cookies in the refrigerator.

I most definitely agree with Terry’s statement above, and there is just something about the combination of chocolate, cream cheese, and toasted almonds.    Ummmmm, too good!  My thanks, Terry for your recipe and support.
